I have had numerous inquiries about Vi's first day of Kindergarten. Most of them wondering if I was "doing okay." I am very sorry to report, I would have gotten out the poms poms, cartwheels, streamers, & marching band if I could have!
This is Violet standing in the corner of the garage after she had a whining fit and would not come out for a photo while we waited for the bus. Poor Grandma Pat and Grandpa Harry came over for the big day only to watch the back of Vi's head.
Daddy also had his first day of school at Suny ACC, he was less whiny and even agreed to an antler photo. Even this did not bring Vi out of the corner.....
Thankfully when the bus pulled up she snapped out of her funk and ran out.

I included a picture of Vi's first zinnia in our yard just to lighten the mood of the disappointing morning.

Sigh, she had a great first day after the rocky start. She is such a great kid and we love her to pieces so what if completely denied of us OUR dream of her first day of kindergarten. It is after all about us, isn't it?
