My brother & his wonderful kids came for their 2nd Annual Summer Excursion to our end of the state. We went camping in tents, kayaking, swimming, riding bikes, mini-golf, go-karts, roasting marshmellows, fireworks and of course eating lots and lots of yummy camp food! Kolt loves loves loves big kids and I think somehow believes he grows 2 feet taller and has the same abilities as they do when he is in their presence. He would "ride" his tricycle with them and by ride, I mean walk it instead of pedaling it. If Spense (or Pen as Kolt calls him) was throwing sticks in the fire so was Kolt. If Spense was throwing a ball so was Kolt. If Spense was running into the lake at full speed, Kolt was not far behind!
The Fourth of July Fire works in Glens Falls. Fried Dough is the only way to get prepared for fireworks otherwise who would have the strength to make it through???
Violet can not eat an oreo without getting it on her face, in her teeth and every other nook & cranny!
I feel like we all took a turn trying to keep Kolt occupied and from invading everyone else's blankets who was sitting around us. He did not sit still until the fireworks started. He then did not want me to take my hands off his ears. It was hard to tell if he was scared into motionlessness or completely confused by the whole scene.
