Violet says silly things all day long and being the doting Mom I would post all of them if I could only remember and thought anyone cared but me. Here is a gem.
A few days ago, I was sitting in the living room, let's say reading (watching TV sounds lazy). Violet was in the kitchen at the table, I thought she was playing with her little animal figurines...not so.
She came into the living room where I was solving my second word problem and says, "Mom I decorated the table for you!" I reply with a sigh, " what did you do?" She says excitedly, " I colored it for you!" I said, "Vi, coloring is for paper not the table. Do I need to come look and see what you did?" Vi looks at me very seriously and says, "No you will be mad."
I was smiling before I could stop myself. I walked into the kitchen and saw two little amoeba looking figures crayola-d on my wood table. Thankfully they disappeared with a wet sponge.
I once carved my name into one of my grandmother's mahogany dining room chairs when I was kid and Mike says he drew Godzilla on his Mother's lamps so I guess it was inevitable.
