Mother's Day Weekend

I decided to head out to my parent's for Mother's Day weekend with the wee-little ones. My parent's house is close to train tracks which is where Kolt is trying to look oh-so innocent sitting in this pic.  Little Camden had not met his Great Grandma Waneta (who came back from FL in April). Also, I wanted to be sure to make it to one of my niece's track meets and nephew's baseball games.
The pic (above) reminded me we heard a train blow its whistle at a crossing in Rochester (9:00pm) on our way to my parent's house when we stopped at a gas station.  Rochester is about an hour from my parent's.  For the next 40 minutes, Kolt said no less than 150 times, "choo-choo train scare my ears!"  He would start out with, "Mommy."  In great anticipation I would reply, "What Kolt?"  then he would say "choo-choo train scare my ears!".  Then 2 silent blissful minutes would pass...."Mommy."  My attempts to derail (haha) him onto another topic were met with silence or simply repeating how the choo-choo assaulted his delicate ears.  Remaining true to the trip out on Wednesday, on the way home on Sunday his repertoire consisted of repeating, "Papa Al's house" or "Un Tim" til I think I felt a trickle of blood come out of my ear.  Mercifully, he fell asleep for last 2 hours of the trip.
Bray and Her Mom at the track meet.  It may have been the windiest day of the year.  At one point, I think I might have seen Dorothy's house fly by!
Bray's cousin Abbey burning up the track!
Poor Cam stuck in his little car seat watching a pin-wheel.
Diana Ross and Violet having a staring contest
Go Bray Go!
I am sooooo thrilled I got to see Bray run!  Kolt and Vi got to cheer her on!!!  Much like our other trips in the car, Kolt said "Bay run" a thousand times before we got back to GranMary & Paps Al's.

At my grandmother's house, the trampoline is hours of fun. My Dad just got done doing a seat-drop.:)
Cam is showing off his belly.  The only age when a big fat belly is something to be oohh&awwwed over.
Camden staring down his great-grandmother Waneta and I am sure he is thinking, "Well, old lady make a goofy face, start talking in a high-pitched voice and say something nonsensical that's what every other crazy woman does to me."
Cousins Bray and Kai snuggling up in the sunshine
Vi with the my parent's neighbors new puppy Zero.  Apparently, Zero is the name of a dog in a movie, but every time I said his name, I just felt bad for him.  Although, I guess with a name like that when he craps in your shoes its no surprise.
Kolt, Vi, Kai, Bray, Cam, Spense, & Kalyssa for their annual cousins on a  fountain photo in my parent's yard. Hard to believe Cam was a ultrasound photo for last years pic! 22lbs &27inches later...
His expression denotes concern about what he is being told, but he is going to do whatever he wants anyways, then shrug his shoulders and run away.
Bray wanted to do a photo shoot with all the kids, but only Vi was willing to go along with her vision...
.....so glad she did.
Throwing rocks in the pond is extremely stressful with 4 kids and one being a 2yr old who may or may not spin around when he is throwing.
Cam was great on this trip.  He slept through the night every night which he does not do at home.  I guess it was all the fresh air.  We were outside A LOT!
Cam looking only slightly fearful of being pushed by Spense.
Spense trying to take a pic of him & Cam instead I got this little gem:)
"If I pretend to be asleep maybe those kids will leave me alone, gotta make is look real." Cam thought as he slowly closed his eyes and let a little drool roll out of his mouth.....

Spense's baseball game was not without tears.  Just try and take those animal crackers away from that face:(
Cam enjoying the game.
Kolt could not have been more excited to be at this game with Spenser playing and Tim coaching!!!  Uncle Tim even took him in the dug-out!!!!  I think I heard Kolt say, "Un Tim & Pensher" (Kolt is working on articulation, I was his interpreter on this trip) no less than a thousand times!!!!!
Spenser ready for action :)

Great Uncle David showing off his baby skills.  Babies love to be trapped in wiry hair.
Oh wait, I guess they don't.
YAY!  Great Grandma Waneta saying something nonsensical.  I knew she would get on board.
Great Uncle Gary showing Kolt how to cock a nerf gun.  Kolt mostly shot himself.  His thumb and finger were just to far apart to get it right.  Probably better that way.
Great Aunt Jan got the sleepy snuggle time.  He was so content.
I guess Gary should have stuck with the gun lessons & left the snuggling to his wife.

Aunt Liz, Kai and Cam chilling.  If Kai can't hold him she will be touching him somehow:)
Uncle Tim made this day for Kolton too.  As if the baseball game was not enough to blow his little mind. He gave Spense's old clubs to Kolt.  Kolt would not let me put them in the trunk.  The clubs had to ride next to his seat when we left for home!
Violet is the sweetest.  She hugged every relative before we left without one complaint.
Kai loves babies, the novelty had not worn off from our last visit.
The drive-by kisses.....
more drive-by kissing.....
Vi doing the proper hug and photo goodbye with Great Aunt Esther
GranMary getting more of a photo than a hug, but it still counts.
Great Uncle Art....finally she is done....I guess I missed the other 5 or so goodbye hugs.....
Cam loving on his Great Aunt Esther
Kalyssa actually got the lean in hug.  Kolt often just leans his head into you and doesn't really give you the standard 'arms around you' kind.
Kolt saying good-bye to his GranMary  He refused to speak to most of my family (expect UncleTim and the kids).  They would ask him something or offer to get him a drink or whatever and he would slowly lower his head and even more slowly blink his eyes. He makes life interesting.  I am guessing if you could see his eyes they are closed.
Kolt had to get Spense's clubs out the next day when we got home-even in the rain!

Kai making Cam giggle in the swing.

I think this video happened prior to the trip, but I included it since it was a giggling....
