Tonight is Violet's Kindergarten Round-Up at school for the fall. I am so excited for so many reasons....
1) She is ready to learn and heaven forbid I try and teach her anything. When I try and tell her something it is almost like she peels her skin back and out comes this grimacing growling creature that makes this nails on a chalkboard sound that turns ME into a growling grimacing creature too. Its a very unattractive scene for anyone in eye and earshot!
2) She is bored playing with Mommy and I am usually incorrectly pretending whatever imaginary world she is for the moment. It is exhausting trying to figure out which little dog is named Aflanna (this time) and why we are in a boat made of cheese being eaten by sharks.
3) I work from home and I feel like I am ignoring her. It is not easy to explain to her I am doing work on the computer & when she interrupts me I lose my focus. I have Mommy brain so anything that requires focus and total concentration is thrown out the window, when I hear a yell from the bathroom, "Mom, what does P U S H spell?" It was written on the garbage can. So I yell back, " it spells push" She yells, "Why, what does that mean?" I yell back, "it means you have to push it with your hand to open it." She yells, "can you come here?" I won't bore you with the ending as I am assuming you have lost your focus by now and just want it to end. Now you know I what mean......
4) She is going to be the best Kindergartner in the history of Kindergarten!!!!
