The Koltonator

Kolt is definitely a mini-Spenser! A smaller version of his adorable 10 year old cousin. He is always in motion. He loves to be outside. He just recently started picthing fits if he has to come in before he is ready. He can turn anything into a weapon and his sister is often his chosen target.
If he stops moving it is to sit on my lap and put MY hair into his ear! Violet did the same thing when she was a baby, except she put her own hair in her ear. I just think it is such a weird thing to do and the fact that they both do it is even more strange. It's got to be from his Dad's side of the family :)
Anyways, Kolt has started to be much more communicative without the use of real language. He pretty much only says, "bah" and "Mama" (not usually referring to me). We say to him, "Kolt say Violet." He says, "bah." Kolt say, "dog." He says, "bah." Very funny. He does shake his head yes and no when aksed a question. He uses sign language for please when he wants something. The only other sign language he uses is all done. If he is hungry or thirsty he will try and make you follow him to the kitchen and try to open the fridge. If the bathroom door is left open he is making a mad dash to flush the toilet as many times as he can before I can get to him. The dog's water dish is still a favorite to splash and step in. He has has started to run, dive, and/or jump off of things with no idea where he might land. Anything within in 6 inches of the edge of the table is fair game. Mike's travel coffee mug, Kolt can spot it at 100 yards and knows it is Daddy's so he will run to get it for him. Thank you to the Aladdin company for making a very spill-proof mug!
He is keeping us on our toes.
Thankfully, he is just as sweet as can be making up for the constant everything else. Before he goes up to bed, he gives Vi a hug or lays his head on her. He has started sleeping with a little Pooh-Bear (it was Vi's). As soon as I get him near the crib to lay him down he is twisting away from me to get Pooh. He has Pooh in one arm and is playing with his hair with the other, makes me smile every night.
