We were forced on an impromptu visit to Stowe by Lydia & Garnet's father. As it turns out it , it was a super-duper time as it usual is with this crew! Lydia and Vi played their little hearts out!!!! Garnet and Kolt were just kind of chill and did whatever babies do. Kolt slept for crap, but that is not really shocking.
I have to admit, I am taking a new stance on Kolt's inability to sleep. An old high school classmate's 8 year old son was diagnosed with a brain tumor and recently passed away. From what I understand she took him to the Doctor for some minor illness and they discovered this tumor. This is not the first time I have heard heart-breaking stories like this, but for some reason it is effecting me more deeply. Robin was the sweetest person you could ever meet which makes it all seem so painfully unfair. She would probably gladly listen to him whine, get up with him the middle of the night or endure him clinging to her if just to look into his little face one more time . I know full-well I take a lot things for granted in life and good health is one of them. Therefore, looking for the silver-lining is my goal. I can't promise that a sunny disposition will win out over my exhausted nasty mood swings, but I sure am going to try.
Anna and I could not believe it when all the kids agreed to get on the couch for a picture and then they ALL sat there and smiled--magical. Seriously super trip.
When we got home from Stowe, Mike or Nancy Drew (Chandler's pet name for Mike- aww) had to mow the lawn and the magic continued......
