The Chef

The hat and apron were a Christmas gift from Gran Mary a few years ago.  She likes to pretend she is a chef and she is great listener in the kitchen so its actually a lot fun!  Although, the egg did end up on the floor when she attempted to crack it.

Big news on the on the Kolton front!  He went from laying on his belly to turning over and sitting up!  I have only seen him do it once, but there is no doubt his drive to touch everything will have him moving all over in no time.  He is mastering the sippy cup & bottle with handles.  He just needs a little more time to learn to tip it up every time.  He is working on his fine motor pincher grasp, he almost has it. Right now it's more his thumb and closed fit and sort of jamming it in his mouth, but you have to start somewhere!!!  He has his two bottom teeth all the way through, one top front all the way through and the other is just about out!!!  We are still hit or miss with sleeping at night.  I just know he will figure it out.  Mike and I working hard at not picking him up and letting him cry or just going in to pop the binky in.  He is babbling up a storm.  Violet continues to be the best big sister!  She knows which of his whines is soon going to be crying and tells me to pick him up.  She likes to hold him and helps him sit back up or helps him stand up.  It can be a little frightening to watch at times, but he still has all his limbs....so far......

Poor Violet was sick last night.  She was very cuddley, just wanted to lay on the couch.  She kept saying her lungs hurt, but she could breath okay.  I took Kolton up to bed and when I came back down, she was puking in her lap!  Poor baby. I took her up to the tub cause it was kind of everywhere. We were coming back down the stairs and she said, "Mom, do I have asthma?"  We have been talking about what I  do for my job and she is very confused about what asthma is.  She did think Mike's fillings had some connection to asthma????  She also though his fillings were made of glass???  We will work on explaining things a little more clearer before she thinks eating glass fills your teeth and gives you asthma!
