I have tried to deny the Princess Phase as long as I could. Abbigail at school got Princesses for her birthday and it was all over. Peer pressure it starts in preschool--thank god Marlboro doesn't have Princess Cigarettes or do they?!?!?
My first attempt at a Princess Doll Cake. Thank goodness she is only 4 and didn't notice the goof-ups! She thought it was a mountain last night, before the doll was stuck in.

Violet has two fancy battle-dressed horses that needed brave knights to ride them to victory. Mostly they just dance with the princesses. Even the dragon is not evil, but the Princess's pet. I can't wait to see how Kolton plays with these toys some day. I don't see them drinking tea and having dance parties!
I woke Violet up this morning to give her the new birthday dress she is wearing in the all photos. She gave me a big hug and says, "thank you Mommy so much." I almost started crying, I don't even feel like I can take credit for her gratitude and sweet disposition--it is just her. Of course, she is not all sunshine and rainbows! Tantrums and whining pour down in buckets all over our sunny days, but at least we know cloudy days will clear up.... geez I tried so hard to have a great metaphor, but it sounds more like a cheesy cheese-fest!
