Our "Well-Child"

Vi had her 4 yr Well Child appointment today.  It seems impossible-- FOUR---yet there she is sitting in front of me in a little blue hospital gown up on the table in the exam room.  I can't stop smiling during the appointment because she is doing everything the Doc tells her to do and she is getting to be so grown-up or as grown-up as a 4yr old can be :)  The answer to every question the Doc asked me seemed to be "yes she does that" or "no issues there."  Don't get me wrong- I am not bragging, but I am just so grateful.  I am lucky my struggles as a parent are mundane.  At the YMCA during Vi's swim class there is a little blind girl in another class and I try to imagine what it would be like to be her Mom.  I can truly appreciate having "normal" healthy kids.
Her Stats:  46lbs - 96 percentile and 42in -91 percentile.  She has pretty much stayed on the same curve since she was a baby so worries there.

Funny Story:  Thursday morning Vi and I are eating breakfast and she says to me, "Mom I know where Indians live."  I am thinking she is going to say Tee-Pees. I figured they talked about it in preschool or something.  She says, "boxes."  Since the answer was kind of unexpected--I smiled- sort of laughed and said, "who told you that?"  Her reply, "Daddy told me that."  I called Mike at work and asked him what in the world he is teaching our daughter!  He could not stop laughing!  Apparently, he and Vi had a converation about being very lucky to have a nice warm house to live in and that not everybody has a home.  He thinks he might have said something about poor people in India living in boxes by railroad tracks.  She gets quite the education at our house....
