Quick set-up to the quick story: Violet and Lily(3yrs old) go to Day-Care together . Lily's Mother and I used to work together and now have playdates with the girls.
When I was picking up Violet today at day-care Lily had a lot to say. She told me her Mommy was getting her new shoes because hers were too tight. She told me her Aunt was picking her up. BUT before she could tell me the last thing, she said to me, "I just called you Cake." Lily smiled sweetly and I thought it was totally adorable.
When Violet and I got home I made waffles for dinner (my cooking ability is limited). I gave Violet her plate and she said smiling, "Thanks Cake." Comedians in the making.
footnote: Day-Care Lori (we have dubbed her that to keep our Lori's straight, Laurie is Lily's Mom's name too) said I was sweet as Cake. As if I did not love her enough before :)
