Home for the 4th. We had a great time doing very little this weekend.

However, on Sunday Violet did something VERY BIG! She decided to sit on the potty with no diaper!!!! It was a little sad, a little adorable, and a little exciting that she is ready give it a try with no debate or hesitation. She even decided to take it one step further and educate herself on potty training. Yes, she thinks proper techique, history of the potty, and a few examples are necessary to get it right. We shall see...

In other news, we went to the park with Aunty Lynley and Kamal. Kamal was trusted with pushing the pine cone in the swing next to Vi. Vi made sure that the Kamal pushed the pine cone right along with her.

Saturday evening was spent with friends swimming in their pool. Violet was actually kicking her feet and having a great time. She even said on the way home, "I had fun swimming with Daddy!"
Then Sunday, Violet and Daddy worked on their golf swings. Vi had lots of pointers for Daddy to improve his game.

Home for the 12th, but with GranMary, Papa Al, Aunt Liz, Cousins Kalyssa and Kai came for a visit.HUGE NEWS! Violet went on many rides at the Great Escape! This was our 4th visit with the 3 previous being rideless visits. She also amazed me by running up to the stage and dancing with kids during the Wiggles Show at the Park. Violet had a difficult time sharing and having her hair touched by BabyKai. We heard, "she's touching me," "Kai, no thank you," many many times. But also lots and lots of giggles and super awesome adorableness!
