Memorial Day

Violet had a great weekend! Friday, we had a great picnic at Grandma Pat & Grandpa Harry's then the Memorial Day parade went right past their house.

Violet's little friend Lydia (and her fabulous parents) came to visit and they got along great! A few little stroller-sharing incidents, but were adorable sharing baby dolls. Violet refused to believe Lydia was not BabyNoah so she called Lydia, BabyNoah all weekend. Vi would wake up from her nap, "Where Baby Noah?" Vi would be getting ready for bed, "Where BabyNoah?" Apparently, Lydia thought that Violet was Maddie (one of her friend's is named Maddie) so she called her--Maddie all weekend. They are quite the comedy duo. Unfortunately, my camera batteries died so you will just have to imagine the cuteness.

On Monday we went to the Great Escape for the first time. Violet may have been slightly overwhelmed since she refused to go on any rides. She enjoyed all the little houses running in and out of them over and over. Of course the petting zoo was a hit! We will slowly desensitize her every time we go and maybe by the end of the summer the carousal will not seem like the spinning ride of death.

Last but not least we headed over to Pat and Beth's for a bar-b-que. Violet and their dog Murphy are great buds, running around the yard, fetching and just overall very Norman-Rockwell. Vi also adored their garden statues and fell in love with a small cermic bird & bunny, carrying them around.
