Violet & Momma (as she is calling me these days) traveled to GranMary & Papa Al's house for a long weekend. Daddy met us there after a long morning of napping or hunting in the woods on Saturday. Violet got to play for many many hours with her cousins and have a sleepover with Uncle Tim, Aunt Kar, and cousins Bray and Spense. Aunt Iz and her troop were also there to add to the chaos.
Vi is completely in love with the "kids" as she calls them and would do just about anything to make them laugh. A nice spaghetti dinner quickly turned into a marinara facial with the loud giggles of her cousins. Luckily for Violet, Bray is always there to step in and be the "Mom." Bray (9 going on 35)informed her brother (7) that he needed to sit and relax after eating.
Hot Dog Day was only slightly overwhelming for Momma, but Violet took in the crowd, noise, fried food, hot sun(then down pouring rain as you might guess), and shirtless drunken college students in stride. Of course, I think she had the most fun climbing on a rock and closing her eyes to hide from her Uncle Tim.
Violet misses the "kids" already. We got home and ready for bed and she wondered if babyKai was sleeping in her room. She has already been asking for a return visit to GranMary's house.
